Norma Jean Mortensen was born on the 1st June 1926. 'Marilyn Monroe' went on to forge her name in the worlds of showbusiness, culture and politics. Defined not only by the famous scene from 'The Seven Year Itch' - where she is stood on a subway grate in a white dress - but also by her alleged affairs with two U.S. Presidents, John. F. and Robert Kennedy. Her life took many twists and turns and, much like many iconic figures of the 20th Century she died at a young age in 1962.
